I'm curious, which rotrex did you go with, and what is your power goal? C30-74? C30-94? I'm currently planning a rotrex setup and seeing lots of stuff from the "early days" of development, with lots of conflicting opinions/uncertainty on optimal sizing.

Hopefully not a threadjack. Really excited to see where this goes

It's a C30-74.
Not going after big power, I'll be happy with 230-240 whp and it should be fairly quick with that power bump given the rest of the work that's going into it - click me if you haven't seen this thread.

It will scoot with a C30-74. My first car, with a C30-74, was nice at ~220 whp and 2500 lbs. Creampuff weighs much less.

Thanks! C30-74 sounds good, since I have the same power goals. I read some threads about people making good numbers/more power under curve with an under-stressed C30-90, but that's probably just me talking myself into it since I found a cheap -90 unit.

Edit: the C30-74 can be spun faster though - 120,000 vs 100,000 for the C30-90, so there's that.

Double edit: Oh damn, it's a new build thread. Hell yes.

Went to Autozone armed with a part number to grab a belt.
The girl at the counter could not figure out how to look up an item w/o the application it's going into, so she call the shift manager to see if he can help that pesky guy that wouldn't give her the year and model of vehicle...
He comes and finds a cross reference number on the computer, pulls a 3 rib V-belt instead of a 4 rib, I decipher the Autozone part number for him and ask him to see if he can find on the shelf a 4 rib belt between a range on numbers, dude in now visibly irritated and cannot figure out WTF I'm talking about and goes back to try and ask me what year and model of vehicle this is for.... SMH

I had a similar experience once looking for a belt, but the parts guy didn't get annoyed, he walked me to the back where the belts were and said, "here, you know more about this than I do, find it". I walked out with the two belts I needed.

It is the same story with cashiers who don't know how to handle cash any longer. They rely on the computer to tell them how much change is due, and they get all confused when you give them $5.03 for something that cost $4.78.

I just get the part number off the website and use their online inventory to make sure they have it. Show up, go "I need this" and am good to go.

4PK770, you can get them in almost any length you want, this one is 770mm long.
