Default Jackson Racing has f'd me...again...

Hey guys, well I got screwed. My Jackson Racings Kit that i bought for 1,000 dollars was suppose to be in perfectly good working order, but I have reason to believe that the bearings are shot. This thing, I swear makes the most horrible sound. Lot like a belt streeching, but...I just can't really describe it, its like something is seizing inside of it.

So does anybody know somebody who can get me an affordable supercharger rebuild?

Mine made a chattering sound. Hard to explain it, but it sounded like the rotors were making contact. However, it is very likely the coupler is worn. When it wears out it has a tendency to cause the chatter. You will replace that coupler and replace the oil in the nose of the blower. Remove the pulley, remove the plug on the front housing, drain the oil, remove the bolts, take off the nose piece, replace the coupler, replace the nose piece, tighten bolts, fill with SC oil(GM dealers have it), replace the pulley. I got the coupler and SC oil from Ebay. You can get the SC oil from a GM dealer as well. Good luck

Did you pay through paypal?

That isn't right.

Call Jackson Racing. It might be cheap to fix.

Sure it's not just usual SC whine, or is it definitely mechanical/metal on metal?
