I should probably scrap it then. Can't have a broken car.

And I have sat in a turbo car with aids and it still felt better. Felt like it was gonna blow, but it was much faster.
I tried to warn you against the aids when you picked up the flywheel from me.

I still owe you a ride in my car so you can see what a well setup modest turbo car should feel like.

It is even more eye opening now that I have done it. Once school is over, the SC will probably come out. Or at least the Aids.

And my plan to fix the broken car is to replace the radiator. Do you think that is sound or do have other ideas?

Get a thicker radiator (50-52mm). Good stock fans move plenty of air, but they need to be good ones.

You need to establish what the actual reason for the overheating is before you just start throwing money at it. Is your thermostat working correctly?

The thermostat is fine. It is new and isn't showing signs of being stuck.

I run 205's on my ~200whp car and don't have traction issues. Of course the type of tire/compound/etc. is more important than the "205" number on it.

I mean more the fact that he likes to alternate between "I'm a badass and i autocross my Miata" and "I don't have a miata, but i'd like to trade my rice rocket RSX for one so i can get used to Miatas."

Don't know who this clown thinks he's impressing.

What? That's crazy talk.

I run the finest of $50 all-season **** Kumhos that are 195/50/15. Clearly my lack of traction comes from the fact that I don't have the 205 version of the $50 **** all seasons.

There are many more reasons for overheating than a stuck thermostat. The radiator could be partially clogged (it happens) or it could be leaking. Any coolant leak could cause overheating as well as collapsing hoses, etc. A competent mechanic can diagnose and repair the problem. OTOH, a bunch of guesses and inexperienced tech can just waste money and time..... Get thee to a good Miata shop ASAP

What do you think a good price for a used m62 supercharger for a 1.6 should cost?
