Jackson Racing Supercharger
Hi Fellas,
I have a 2001 Mazda miata and I recently installed a JR M45 Supercharger. I have 2 issues: 1. At cold start - the charger howls then it goes away when it warms up, but when I turn the steering left or right the noise comes back. 2. The supercharger has the timing controller from fastforward - When I drive the car for the first 10 miles - the car stall when I come to a stop, sometimes the RPM goes down like it is going to stall and settles back to normal RPM. Could someone provide pointers of how to fix the issues I am experiencing. Thanks... |
1. belt is probably not tight enough
2. FFS sucks. |
1. What D said... Or check your power steering reservoir.
2. Also what D said. Install megasquirt and tune. |
Some times the by pass ck valve makes a loud noise that goes and comes, esp if you put in in backwards. Definitely ck belts and PS fluid level too. SC belt has to be pretty darn tight esp if you are running a 60 or 62.5 nose pulley.

I don't know how often he shows up on MiataTurbo, but he frequently posts on Miata.net, although it is easier to reach him with questions through his website. Bill |
