I've done my own bearing replacements using parts purchased from them. Not had the need to send back for case/rotor rebuild though.

Surely you can find reviews online for his services.

I have read several reviews..........contacted one person on another forum that had a bad experience to get his personal review of the company.

Some seem pleased others not so much.

If it's the front bearings it isn't so hard and a local auto shop can press out/in as needed. The rear bearings need a puller and a bit more knowledge.

Have you changed the coupler at all?

It might pay to call them directly on the telephone.

The noise is coming from the rear of the rotor housing.

i have rebuilt several nose sections but never the rotor housing bearings.

Needle bearings. And grease only. Have you ever had the unit apart and cleaned/regreased those bearings?

I'm not sure if he does anything less than a full rebuild.

I think he posted a video on youtube about changing the rear needle bearings.

Nice guy and willing to work with you.

I've had Jon rebuild both my Primary Whipple....and my spare Whipple. Good results with both.

I had Wade Embree at The High Speed Lab build a M45 and a rebuild and port a M62 for me. Had "okish" results from Wade. I will tell you that his responsiveness really got weak towards the end of my Eaton days.

I have nothing but great things to say about Jon Bond as far as Whipples go...since Eatons are much easier to rebuild...I would imagine he could handle it.

Jon just rebuilt my MP62 unit this past fall. Good results, good guy to work with, and decent turn around time. He did a full rebuild and I can say I would work with him again.

Same here. Just got my MP62 back. Great guy to work with.

What's a ballpark price for a full rebuild?

I had him re-build my M45 after an external oil leak completely destroyed the nose section. The re-build developed an internal oil leak, so he re-built it again under warranty. I sold the unit and swapped over to a turbo system... the new owner had the unit develop an internal oil leak (Jon was using a new supplier for some of the seals at that time) so on my advice the new owner contacted Jon. Jon re-built the unit for free (it was out of warranty and had a different owner than he had dealt with) using seals from a different supplier and the problem was solved.
