Default M45 Fuel Management and Timing suggestions

Steve Baker and I (mostly Steve) have been piecing together a Jackson
Racing M45 Supercharger with a cold side adapter for my 97 Miata. We are getting close to installing it and i need to figure out the best option for fuel management and timing. It needs to pass GA emissions. I would like it to plug into the wiring harness without modifying it, but that's optional. It's going be relatively low boost with stock injectors

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Thanks

97 is OBDII, correct? What exactly does Georgia test for when they do their emissions compliance? IF they need OBDII to sync, you may need to look into something like an AEM FI/C or the oldschool MegaSquirt-in-parallel setups. RRFPR & MSD/Sebring blue timing retard box maybe?

None of this is ideal, but they are options.

Mega squire and pay a Mexican to give you a sticker. Any other direction is not worth your time.

Heh, that's also an option "Mega squire" stand-alone would be ideal.

You are an idiot if you think that statement is true. You are wasting fuel and 1/5-1/6 of your potential power.

Having personally re-tuned a M45 car that went from a PPPower card to a Megasquirt, I laugh at anyone that says "it gets the job done".

The statement should read: " the car hasn't blown up yet, so it must be working"

Megasquirt or bust

pppower cards to stand alone 210/170 hp/ftlb to 250/230 hp/ftlb. Hame both dyno sheets hanging on the fridge.

I'm currently running my rotrex on the supplied super/power/voodoo -card and its a POS and has been since day one. Does it make the car somewhat "safe" and "drive-able"? Yes. Does it hickup and do other stupid things when transitioning from vac -> boost? Yes. Does it run ------- pig rich under boost? Yes. How rich? Fat enough to max out my AEM UEGO (that means richer than 10:1) at anything over 3-4psi.

Is this ----? Yes.

I'd love to install my megasquirt, but it ------- hates me. What little I was able to do with it before realizing it wasn't working right was a moment of pure and unadulterated automotive clarity and insight beyond explanation. It made me want to learn its secrets.

Stop huffing the powercard paint and get yourself some Megasquirt, its the good ---- you want.
