I have reduced the SC pulley from 95mm to 90mm.A big difference in mid range and response. Being dynoed next week, will post the figures
Steve

18psi 06-19-2009 02:45 AM

cool. I guess.

Saml01 06-19-2009 11:05 AM

How many powercards are you running?

samnavy 06-19-2009 12:01 PM

^That's funny!

Over, what difference did that make in boost? I think I remember reading the Rotrex has the flow capacity for 300whp... are you doing anything for charge cooling? I'm not in the market, but I'd like somebody to actually reach the limits of the thing and see how it hold up.

It's nice an compact, and is priced right for what you get... skip the piggyback option they sell with it, get a real ECU, an IC and WI... shouldn't be too hard to hit the numbers.

Xede

I run an XEDE ECU, 5th injector and IC. At 7000 rpm it spins at 110600 rpm so I could go down another few pulley sizes before reaching max.I won't know the boost until it is dynoed

Why not get a Boost guage?

Sounds Cool. I think the S/C has much better control. It makes it feel more like a N/A's dynamics.

Good Luck!

Hi Ended up with 198rwhp, No boost gauge because there is no quick adjustment like a Turbo,so it boosts what it boosts,if that makes any sense.
Cheers

Cool, nice numbers.

How much boost?

kotomile 07-03-2009 12:55 PM

I want to know how much boost this was at too, but apparently that's a trivial piece of information.

Skittles 07-08-2009 02:18 PM

Boost? Dyno? Something? Anything?

overdrawn 07-09-2009 08:51 PM

Rotrex figures

195 RWHP before clutch started slipping.12 psi boost on 98 oct pump fuel
and a big difference in mid range torque and drivability.

Yes

How much torque at 3000 and 4000rpms? Got a dyno sheet we could look at?

195whp @ 12psi with 98oct... this seems kinda low but i'm curious.

Still debating GT2554R or SC/Rotrex/FFS/whatever...

I'm not a top end guy... I like torque... yet I drive a miata?!?!? :D

Post a Dyno sheet...

SC/ed @ 10psi is usually +- 200 whp.

12psi for 200 is alot of psi for not alot of power.

12psi on a Begi/FM2 turbo is 250whp with 200ft/lbs... SC robs some power but 50hp?

I'm more interested in the torque curve, especially with the mods you claim to have done. You can have all the top end you want but on the street, it's how much torque you make at 3-4k that makes the car fun to drive. But that's just me ;)

overdrawn 07-17-2009 08:52 PM

Hey What's this 'claimed to have done' The only power mod is the SC ,IC and Xede, 200 is the limit beacause I stopped spending ie injectors ,AFM. rods pistons. If you want outright HP buy a bloody BEGI Turbo QUOTE=Skittles;431687]Post a Dyno sheet...

Dude, dont get your panties in a bunch, you post about a new system that came out recently and people like me want details, infos, pics, something... so far all we have is 198 @ 12psi with a Xede and an IC.

Just commenting that it's a little low for 12psi regardless of the system you have. If you dont want opinions or help or anything, stay off the internet, it's full of people with lots of different opinions I heard.

Seriously MATE, if you're going to get pissy because somebody wants to see some proof of something on the internet, and your answer is "fuck you, I don't have to show proof, my word is good enough", that's just not how things work and you know it. And come on... somebody saying "claim to have" is the reason you're all pissed off... seriously "claim to have" are the magic words that make you lose your fucking mind on the internet from 15k miles away?

You spelled the word knot right, so I know you're at least a little bit educated. Why don't you go take some pictures of your car, scan the dyno-sheet, and post up your Xede maps so we can take a look and see if there's something wrong. You're down about 20-30whp if we're talking Dynojet WHP as far as I can tell, now get back to talking cars or go away.

Peak torque at 5200RPM, I'll pass. I thought the whole allure of the Rotrex was it's gearing that allowed the compressor to spin faster at low rpms, I believe it was marketed as "torque on demand?" By the time you've made 3psi I've made 12. 176rwhp at 12psi is a joke, I made 170rwhp at 7psi, with lots more torque to boot.

That's what I was thinking... I have a feeling something is not running right, tuning maybe? If Overdrawn wants help, i'm sure he will ask and some people will be happy to help.

Those figure also look funny compared to the 180whp Emilio is talking about on M.net for the upcoming intercolled kit. He is claiming Basic kit + intercooler + PowerCard for 180whp. Surely not at 12psi either.

Overdrawn: Maybe send a PM to Emilio and ask him what he thinks, maybe he has an idea? I'm sure you are happy about your kit but as a fellow car enthousiast, I'm sure you would like to have more for the $$ you paid ;)

I thought the whole allure for superchargers was a flat torque band that was available at all RPM.

Overdrawn,

If you spent a little bit more time here you'd realize that Brain wasn't being rude. He's not like that. He was making an observation and analyzing the difference between reality and marketing claims. We are all curious about this new product that has grandiose claims being made about it. None of us have seen empirical data from end users of the product. You made a new thread about the subject and much of the first page is basically people wishing you would share more information about the product and the data. I think many of them were frustrated with your brevity.

And several complete strangers have extended offers to assist you in diagnostics and tuning of YOUR car for FREE just to be helpful. And still you effuse negativity. "Seek and ye shall find." If you are looking for rudeness you will see it everywhere. If you are looking for kindness it will likewise be everywhere. We can be quite helpful if you are looking for it. I'm not going to beg you to post your tuning data, but there appear to be several valid offers to assist you with it here already. Ponder it a moment.
