SC12 Supercharged NA6 - Please be kind
Hey MT.net,
So i was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a complete supercharger kit to suit the miata 1.6. It consists of the following: - SC12 Supercharger - Hot Side - Low mounting brakcets - All piping (non-intercooled) - Haltech E6K ECU and complete loom (Plug and play) - there might be some more stuff but im not 100% So this was running in the car working very well now i've got a few questions mostly these will be easy to answer (i hope). Im only planning to run 6psi - 10psi. Oh and i've read the MT Wiki already so please forgive me if i ask questions that have been answered. Here we go... 1. Injectors - On the wiki it lists several injectors that can be used. My question is this besides the familia GTR/GTX are there any drop in injectors that i can use that are higher than 360cc where i don't have to add resistors or in anyway modify to get them to fit. Essentially i want to take out the old, install the new reconnect them and done. 2. Fuel Pressure Reg - Should i get one and if so which would be the best bang for buck option. The reason i ask is that the car is now 20 years old and i plan on replacing with a walbro unit (as it is the most common and seems to be the simplest to install) 3. COPS - Should i bother going through and modding the ignitor and will it make much of a difference at 6 - 10psi? 4. Intercooler - I've spoken to a few people that suggested WMI but im not keen on this idea i was considering a small intercooler, like those used on the S13/VR4/R32 GTST - one of the small sidemounts would this be effective enough? Thank you for your time and again if this ahs been covered before or if anyone else is using a SC12 please link me Cheers! |
1 there are tons and tons of injectors that will plug right in and work. all of them will require re-tuning.
2 not needed. neither is a walbro unless your stocker is in bad shape 3 not needed for your setup, but always beneficial. 4 sure, or get something bigger that doesn't use plastic end tanks, which suck |
