What plugs are you running? I just installed a JR M45 kit on my 94 1.8 and have not driven it yet, should I install different plugs? The instructions dont say anything about it.

You want to install the next cooler range of plugs. I went with iridium plugs, ngk, I believe in a 7, maybe an 8 heat range (cant remember off the top of my head). Keep in mind the higher the # on the plug, the cooler the plug, sort of counter-intuitive.

Reason I ask is because I bought my S/C used only to find it needed a rebuild after driving about 100 miles on it. I put the NGK iridium bkr6e from moss in there while boosted and when I pulled the blower to send it away to be rebuilt I noticed the plugs were orange colored at the tips. So I put the car back to n/a and put the bkr5e iridiums in it and just yesterday put the rebuilt blower back on and pulled the 5's out and they are orange on the tips too. I didnt have any hesitation or problems but I dont know what the orange is all about. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't know what the orange on the tips would indicate... post a picture if you can. Make sure your timing is controlled or dialed down to about 6* to 7* It would also do you well to install a wideband or something to ensure that your air / fuel ratios arent going lean.

As far as plug reading, just make sure they arent white, or speckled, or much other than a nice tan to brown color.
