tribodyn-SC oil -any feedback?
 

So I see this tribodyn oil which is patented and they have a really cool video, where they use a lathe to prove that it works better than regular oil!

And they also say "The unique blends of ingredients are attracted to areas of heat and friction, as pressures increase with RPM or load,
the special lubricants actually become more efficient." which means there are lots of sexual uses for this stuff as well.

I also see that Jonbond has 794 units in stock and assuming they're not talking about ounces, that is a crap load of oil

Sounds like they have bought into this oil in a big way.

Surprisingly, there are not many reviews of this stuff, on the web.
One review reports that their supercharger whine was reduced, but he said he was using 75/90 weight oil, so I am not
sure what kind of gearbox he has on his supercharger.

All joking aside, has anyone here tried this oil? If so, any perceived difference in noise coming out of the supercharger after the change?
Anything else make it different (better) than the standard gm synthetic oil?

Ok, now I am reading that Eric (TNTUBA) said this 2yrs ago:

So this oil is much better than the Whipple oil in a Whipple SC. Anyone using it in a MP62?

I swear by Jon Bond and this oil.

Jon has been building blowers for me for several years. He rebuilt a couple 1.2L Whipples for me. I was spinning the absolute snot out of those little blowers. Like close to 24,000 RPM. And at those speeds and pressures, they tended to "pop" from time to time. When I went to Jon's oil (I was actually one of the "beta testers") I saw real, measured with a IR temp gauge, reductions in case temps AND increased service intervals on the blowers. I actually haven't had one fail since I went to that lube.

I'm now running a 1.6L Whipple, not spinning it anywhere near as fast and making more power. I still use this oil and the same blower has been on my car for 2 seasons now with no service other than changing the oil in the case during the last off season.

^ Thanks for chiming in Eric. I ended up purchasing a bottle from Pat and fully expect that it will give me at least another 10hp :)
(hopefully it has a similar effect in the eaton, as it did in your whipple)
