Replacing wheel studs.

Anyone know if I can replace my wheel studs with slightly longer versions (56mm top to tail, 40mm long thread) without having to remove the wheel hubs? Car is an NA.

you can do it on the front in a 1.6 bodied car. I've seen it done in the rear of a 1995 too without pulling the hub.

supposedly there is a sweet spot that you can pull them out one at a time....some had to grind a little material away.

NB here, but should be same. I did all 4 corners, never took the hubs off. There is " sweet spot" where you can drive them out.

Thanks guys, sounds like a little job to keep me busy one afternoon soon.

Should be able to do this with the brake disks and callipers etc in place by the sounds of it?

there are many differences so many in fact that its just about a pot-luck on what fits in the hub. I've been a part of a few removals and fewer re-installs at the track.

Hustler,I purchased ARP wheel studs and I plan on installing them soon,so any tips on putting them in painlessly would be much appreciated.

They're easy to put in, just make sure to compare with the ones you removed because they're all different sizes. My aftermarket hub, stock hub, and swapped 1.8 rear subframe/hub are all different sizes.
