Default 90-93 Ring and Pinion Information

I am work on on building a track car with some 4wd protege parts. The protege suspension I have for the rear is quite rotted so I am going to try and use the Miata suspension I have left over from another project. Did the 90-93 Miata ever come with a 3.909 ring and pinion?

No, only 4.3, 3.909 only came in the '99-'03 6speed.

Is there a reason you're using the 6" R&P? Its prone to breaking FYI.

The protégé and earlier 323's of the AWD persuasion used a 3.909 miatas always came with a 4.30.

Those little diffs are prone to failure if you use them on a 2wd car on the track especially if you add any power.
