5.5'' 700lb spring too short?

So I had my Bilsteins revalved for 700/400lb springs. I have them back, however I am pretty short on cash right now so I haven't bought new springs yet. I was going to run my 550/350lb springs for a month or two. Heres the thing. I friend of mine just so happens to have a 700 or 725lb (can't remember) hyperco spring set in 5.5'' length. My 550's are 6''. And another friend has 400 and 450lb spring in 7''. Haven't decided on 400 or 450. I am running proper sleeves.

So heres the question. Is the .5'' of coil spring really going to make a big difference? Especially since I would be going up 150lb in rate?

I can have them for free which is nice of him... sure I can try it but I really hate swapping suspension so I want to do it once. That... and having to get an alignment every time I mess with the a-arms.

thoughts?

... Anyone?

some simply math using your current springs as a guide can easily determine.

I'm sure it can. But I suck at math.... Sooo

at least go measure how short your current springs up front right now with the car sitting on them.

also measure how much extra adjustment room you have left on the shock to raise the perches.

The shocks are not on the car. I just got them back from SD. I have more than nough room for sleeve threads. I'm only really concerned with coil bind.
