94-95 differential w/ stub shafts vs 97 axles
I have a differential that seems to be from a 94-95 as it has stub shafts. It is definitely a 1.8L (has the rubber damper, also has 1.8L stub shafts).
I am planning on swapping this into my 97' which does not have stub shafts, will my axles fit or am I going to have to get two piece shafts from a 94-95? I looked for the answer but only seem to get things relating to the 90-93 stub shafts. Thanks. edit: On solomiata it seems that my axles should fit, but they don't come right out and say it. Hrmm. |
I have a 94 torsen that came with the stub shafts and I put non stub shaft axles in it, been running it for over a year with no issues.
Running with the non stub shaft axles gives you more room to run a bigger exhaust too. |

All of the 1.8 axles will cross swap, except MSM.
