My FM VMaxx XXtremes driver side rear spring perch lock ring loosened itself somehow and got ground down pretty badly by the axle shaft. Horrendous noises were had. I will most likely get these now!

Be that as it may, track suspensions are more effective when they are adjustable so that's how we would do it. Whether a particular user frequently adjusts them is their choice.
Damping rates that work well on track are generally far stiffer than that with which the best street ride is achieved. I make 5-6 clicks change on my daily (the 95R) between street and track. Ride is too choppy on the street when set for the track. Conversely, the soft settings that are so nice on the street are too floaty for track use. Thus, adjustable damping.
Therefore, we will never offer a non adjustable twin tube tecna that is aimed at track use.

Along the lines of a choppy vs floaty suspension, would you recommend the tecna's or something from the tein line for a miata that's driven on a 220 mile round trip once a week, runs errands during the week and is taken on frequent backroad blasts? The first/last 27 miles of my long drive are tight twisty roads through the arkansas hills, and I like to double the recommended speed in corners, then I hit the toll road and cruise 70 miles at 80 mph. The backroads are all through tight twisty arkansas hills, I pick my drives from motorcycleroads.com.
I don't track the car, I might try autocross if I ever get off the weekend shift, and in that case my commute won't be 220 miles anymore. What I do is drive hard on public roads, which have widely varying surfaces. I don't think I'll be stopping at the gas station after the first 27 miles of my drive to adjust the clickers, but I would probably soften the suspension if the GF and I were going on a road trip.
With that said do I choose the tecna shocks, tein street advance, or tein street flex?

If thats not in the budget, Advance but they wont't as nice as Xidas.

It seemed to me like the Tecnas would fit his needs perfectly. Am I missing something? Obviously cost, but would the tecnas not serve him well and are designed for his use case?

Exactly! Why not ask the man with the most first hand experience comparing the three? Until they're released no one but Emilio knows how the tecnas compare to what's on the market. I can read reviews of teins and xidas all day long, but that won't tell me **** about the tecnas.
