Default Poly bushing install in front lower control arm

I'm installing polyurethane bushings and zerks in my 02. I have gotten them all done except for the front lowers. My car is on jackstands and I am trying to do it without breaking the balljoints. I was able to swing the uppers around to drill, tap, install zerks, and bushings. The lowers are much harder! Can I unbolt the lower control arm from the upright? There is a bolt going from front to rear and one going from top to bottom (under the shock mounting point) holding the lower to the upright. At least that is what it looks like it does, and based on pictures I've seen of a ball joint out of the car. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!
