Adjustable bilsteins?

I have a set of billies that I am conveying over to a coilover setup with all-star sleeves and nuts and 450/300 springs - pretty basic. I got everything switched over and noticed that I had an adjustment screw on the top of the shock rod. I was expecting the shock to be non adjustable until I stumbled upon this. I bought them off fb market place and the part numbers show it as a NA HD shock. Turning the screw indeed makes the shocks work more or less hard.

Did bilstein make adjustable shocks or was someone in these and somehow made this modification to them? Summit shows them as non adjustable.

I believe FatCat Motorsports adds some sort of adjustability as part of their rebuild. Where did you get the shocks?

I bought the shock with springs and NA top hats on facebook marketplace for $100. The springs appeared to be stock and they were used with the standard perch. They must've been setup that way to compete in a certain class for racing? The guy I bought them from said his buddy had them on his track car.

Also notice the schrader valve on the bottom to charge them I assume? The shock on the right is what they looked like when I bought them, left is what I'm building up.

Looks like they might be some fat cat shocks. Also, the shock collar sleeve looks way too long on the RF and RR shocks and it looks like they will hit the top hat before the bump stop would compress. I would cut them down to size before running them.

Thanks - yeah I plan to cut them down to ~4.25". I guess they are what they are. I have no way of dynoing them or opening them up. They seem to damp well though when jumping on the car and varying the adjuster. They probably have a much more pleasant curve than the regular NA HD shocks that can be a little much.
