aero race wheels. 49.50 each

Welcome To Aero Race Wheels ~ Estherville, Iowa

ran across theses. they are steal come in our bolt pattern. 13 lbs each.
come in many different backspacing. any color you can imagine. they are cheap and lighter than diamond race wheels.

and you can get them in 13s or 14s or 15.s.

anyone running these. is this a bad idea ? should i try them and be a first ?

shlammed 09-13-2009 05:04 PM

i only see 13's in 4 lug.

Prospero 09-13-2009 05:56 PM

Oh man... way, way long time ago I ran these on our NASCAR cars. We used them for 7+ years and they worked fine on all of our old stuff.

Not the most style and class...but they are round and strong.

Cheers,
M@

they dont come in 4x100 in anything but 13"

turbotyla 09-13-2009 10:14 PM

well i must of read it wrong but 13s would still be nice for track days or a slammed dd

shlammed 09-13-2009 11:43 PM

13s are lame.

NA6C-Guy 09-13-2009 11:45 PM

13's are shit! Not much for tire choice at all. You either get Hoosiers or shitty street tires.

UrbanSoot 09-14-2009 01:32 AM

15" wheels ftw

turbotyla 09-14-2009 01:33 AM

ok well lets not post if it is going to be negative. just think it then go fuck yourself

Wow, way to be a douchebag.
Go to an autocross and look at all the miatas running 13" wheels.
I bet they're a hell of a lot faster than you. :noob:

To the OP, Thanks for the link.
Those of us interested in serious track racing now know another source for 13" track wheels.

Yeah, them and their 1 choice of tire... now who is the douchebag!? :loser: Lame ass!

Dunlop, Hoosier, Goodyear, and Kumho all make race tires in 13" sizes

Yeah, gay race tires. :greddy:

Really though, don't mind me, I'm bored.

I'd still take 15's over 13's.

Actually I lie, I would like a set, but can neither afford wheels or tires, nor would it make any sense since my car is slow and handles like a street car. So therefore I am bitter and hateful.

gospeed81 09-14-2009 08:45 AM

I wonder if these would fit over 1.8L brakes.

jayc72 09-14-2009 10:49 AM

I ran 13" Rota RB's with V710 on my car. They were a 215/50/13. NA I loved them, the gearing advantage was nice, except when I was forced into a gear change. It got a little better when I went from a 4.3 to a 4.1 diff. Once I went turbo, forget it. 1st gear was nearly useless and had to apply the throttle in 2nd very cautiously. I don't know about these wheels, but clearance to 1.8 brakes was very very tight. So that might be an issue as well. The offset on the RB was +4 I think, so they stuck out a lot.

I've since sold the RB and have gone back to a 15" wheel. Opens up things if I want to move on to bigger brakes too.

Just my $0.02

id love a set of 13x10 to fit some 275s on for track but they wont clear my m-tuned bbk :(

cueball1 09-14-2009 01:54 PM

Thread crapping is definetely on the rise. Maybe it's the days getting shorter?!?

On the closeout page they have a bunch of 4 on 4 13x10's for only $30. Hell of a deal for hard core autox or track day stuff. Useful to most people here? Nope, but there might be one or two that could make good use of them. Thanks for the link and heads up.

jayc72 09-14-2009 02:08 PM

Didn't think I was thread crapping. Just giving my experience and thoughts on the subject.

Easy enough to call or email them to find out.

275? nah...255? Yep, they make that :)

Also- none of the backspaces on closeout come close to what is ideal for a miata...
