Default Subaru 4 pot brake brackets

Came across these on Facebook. Looks like an interesting low-cost option for people on the budget.

Subaru 4 pot calliper conversion brackets

£50 plus postage

These 8mm thick brackets made from mild steel have been manufactured to allow you to run 300 mm mtech discs from eBay (£70) link below

These have been used on a car I run for a while now successfully

However I would advise that these are only used for track use only the same warning you get when you fit Meister R suspension, get the idea.

Brackets will be supplied with high tensile bolts.

The callipers are classic Subaru 4 pots from 1992+ Impreza or legacy.

This setup will fit under 15s

That guy is shady as ****, won't tell you what the rotors are off of, have to commit to a purchase then he'll send you an eBay link for slotted rotors.

Look up pads for those calipers, at the time i looked he wouldn't even tell you which Subaru calipers they were but they are all in the 200$+ range for race pads. The calipers also cost as much as willwoods too. That killed the swap for me.

I would like to know what OEM application those rotors are for.

All iron. Heavy. No thanks.

We have had a thread on these locally, not much interest beyond the 'that's new, what's it all about'.

Dunno about shady, but informative - not.

Renault Grand Scenic one piece rotors, I hear.

ETA (for completeness): Single piece Grand Scenic1.5DCi Front Drilled Grooved Brake Discs 04, 300mm x 24mm 4 stud vented discs. Fleabay listing here, if anyone is interested.

Very heavy would be my guess.

He also fails to broadcast what he once admitted to in comments: the stock brake lines will fit but are a little short.

But why?

The subaru 4pots are not exactly cheap, even for used parts.

Was wondering the same. But yea, doesn't seem like a good deal. Maybe in Europe possibly?
