Any cheaper alternatives to FCM bumpstops?

Anything cheaper we can use, but still get the same quality?

I know the manufacturer of the bumpstops is the same for FCM, FM, and GC.

FCM are pretty cheap as is.

I ran these with my Illumina setup. I'd be willing to bet they are identical to FCM's. $48 for a set. Roughly $20 cheaper than FCM. I used the stiff linear. Fit the Illumina and Bilstein shafts perfectly.

But really, for a $20 savings, you might as well give your business to a Miata guy. Unless you are as broke as me, in which case $20 matters.

Good post, been thinking about that as well. The GC stiff linear is the best I've seen so far.

Depending on the type you want, the KYB dust boots for the miata come with a nice progressive urethane stop made by BASF. $10 apiece too.

Google "foam shock bump stops" and some other variations of that as you think of them. You'll find some different stuff out there running around $10 each and up. Up to you to figure if they'll work in your application vs. the proven stuff available from FM, FCM, etc.

That's the one. Its ~65mm out of the bag. I used my 2000 Si as a reference but it is a part common to many civics.

I bought mine at www.hondapartsdeals.com.

You cut the bottom ring off (fine tooth hacksaw works best) and you have a 50mm bump stop on the cheap.

YMMV, buyer beware, etc., etc.
