Automatic 1.8 drive shaft

After being boosted for such a long time, I finally got an entire rear end from a donor car. I got the entire rear end from a 94 miata. We basically just dropped the subframe. Whats the problem? I'm missing the driveshaft. I have the opportunity to pick up a 1.8 drive shaft, but the problem is that it's an automatic. Is it possible to use the automatic 1.8 driveshaft? Some people says it works some says it doesn't.

Specs of my car:

92 Mazda Miata
1.6
Manual

1.8 rear end is from a early 94 Miata.
Half shafts, axles, diff, diff cover etc is all there. Jut need the driveshaft.

What year is car the driveshaft is from?

I think a 94 or 97. I know it's not from an NB

from my research an NA Auto driveshaft is just a tad shorter but will work just fine.

Sweet. Any more input?

Pretty sure if you have a 1.6l diff you need a drive shaft for a 1.6l. The length is different and so is the bolt size and pattern of the bolts that attach it to the diff flange. I don't think Auto versus manual is a problem parts book lists drive shaft as the same for auto or manual.

Just to clarify.. I have a 1.8 rear end from a 94. The driveshaft that I'm looking at is from an automatic 94
