Boss frog roll bar... helpz

5 Attachment(s)
I snagged the roll bar from my project car to put on my LE for the track. Well i started to install it tonight got to the point where i get it mounted and i realize my seatbelts wont retract because theres a big fuckin bar from the path. I checked the manufacturer and they dont really show me a good spot. Also the car came with what looks like an aftermarket cross brace that wont work with my seatbelts either. Any ideas?

I have that same roll bar. There are some seatbelt brackets that bolt on the the front hole in the tab.

That harness bar doesn't look like the boss frog one, but their bar sits farther back. You can also see how the belt brackets bolt on the hoop. You may have to flip your harness bar.

I have a extra set of brackets if you need them. PM me.

Look at page 8 on their instructions for routing the seatbelt.

It'll work, just not a smoothly as before. Mine mostly just hang out beside the seat or in the seat until I get back in the car. They can be hand fed back into the reel though.

Careful with the BossFrog seatbelt brackets as shown above. I tend to sit pretty far forward and upright and the outer edge of the belt would fold over about 1/4-1/2 inch. This resulted in the edge fraying and the belt actually starting to tear. Since the tear was pretty much located right at that sharp edge it might very well have torn through in an accident. I ground on my bracket to let it rotate more forward, but with the bar there you only can go so far. IF the bracket fit tighter like the OEM bracket, the belt couldn't fold like that, but then you couldn't feed the actual buckle tab through the hole.
I ended up getting another seatbelt and leaving the factory bracket on. It's not like the Boss Frog piece solves the problem anyway, it just helps a bit.

If i weld a tab on for the stock seatbelt brackets will that conflict with the SCCA rulebook?
