Brake issue???

Tried google with no luck, maybe bad wording?

When I 1st start driving the car the brakes don't grab well but after about 2-3 min they grab normal.

IDK what pads are on the car or if they were set properly.
There is no difference in pedal feel. Stainless braided lines.
Stock rotors. Pads unknown.

I will be changing out all the rotors and pads come Feb.

Bump, anyone?

Some pads require a bit of heat to grip properly. Porterfield R4-S (a mild street/track pad) will need a bit higher effort on the first couple stops of the day, for example.

1+ on pads needing heat.

Cheap autozone lifetime warranty pads are fine for anything but track duty. Spend that $40 and see if it helps.

I have seen some store brand pads have problems like what you're describing, but maybe only once or twice while I was a line tech.

Jacob hit the nail on the head since its a quick job :p. I prefer ceramic pads for the miata, myself.
