Broken diff mounting plate stud.

Hi,

One of the 12mm stud that hold the diff mounting plate snapped off when trying to remove it off my miata. What do you guys recommend? Drill the stud out and replace it with a grade 8 bolt?

Thanks,

Leave it be and don't use it :p

Not worth fixing IMO.

I'm concerned by the flexing of the mounting plate since the bushing are now delrin...

I believe the only reason the bracket is secured with those 2 small bolts is so the bracket wont spin. That way the one bolt that matters doesn't come loose.

Welcome btw! You should post an introduction!
Also let me know what the delrin bushings are like. I'm running the poly Energy Suspension bushings and love them.

Yeah wouldn’t worry about it. Those are just anti rotation studs for what is essentially a glorified washer. One stud will be plenty
