1.8 Rear end power limits
Serious question, has anyone blown up a 1.8 differential? I know, CEO and eliminator are both on 1.8L rear ends...Do you think with a Cusco LSD and DSS custom axles, hubs, and ARP studs rated at 700 whp will hold up to track abuse with slicks and 600 whp?
- Bracing ?
- Anything else I would need?

I think the weakest part of the diff is the the caps that hold the LSD.
You could treat everything like the R&P and housing cryogenically, and treat the R&P WPC or something like REM to reduce friction. Or you could just get a diff made by that S2000 guy. I think it is Puddymod racing in FL he does all that stuff and has billet caps made for the LSD and a custom crush sleeve.

Assuming you know how to drive and you never ever ever ever have wheelhop off the line, you'll break the aluminum housing first. There's absolutely no reason to not do a Ford 8.8 diff if you're going to spend all that money.
