Default bottom front ball joints

Why is there what looks to be 2 different bottom ball joints listed?

There is what looks like a ball joint that has a plate under it with holes in for the bolts and there is what looks one that has tube across and a single hole.

sorry for my description but its a whilecsince i stripped the doner car. I am fabricating my own wixhbones and i know what top ball joint to use with the same taper (BMW). I'm just not sure on the bottom.

There is a long bolt/ nut that goes through the ball joint in the horizontal direction ...Then there is a vertical bolt from the top that threads directly into the ball joint

Be careful. Cheap no name ball joints may have incorrect thread pitch on the vertical bolt. I bought a cheap NB that the previous owner left that bolt out because the ball joint was replaced with a crappy one with the wrong pitch.

ok dealer is best got it

thats not what i was asking though

see these 2 links off ebay......

MAZDA MX5 1.6 1.8 04/1998-10/2005 LOWER BALL JOINT Front Off Side | eBay

and then these

FBJ5447 Ball Joint Front Axle,Left,Lower | eBay

if the second one i posted fits the taper then these are what i want to fit to my tubular wish bones on my MX5 engined classic mini.

The second one pictured is not a lower ball joint for a Miata. That's the difference. It looks like an upper for a '68-72 GM A-body car.
