+1, I was being lazy and didn't feel like asking, but since you have I will also request more info. I have Mazdaspeed engine mounts and still have **** tons of movement through my shifter. I'm sure diff mounts would help, but this trans mount sounds interesting. I have always looked at the mounting area on the trans where the PPF bolts up and wondered what a brace bolted to the frame rails and that mount would do. Probably more vibration, but no movement.

Shitty small pic, but best I have right now. If you want more, I can take some.

It runs across where a subframe brace would go, and has a plate that attaches to the bellhousing. That plate is attached to the main brace via two rubber snubbers/vibration isolators.

EDIT - it is still on my desk, not installed, so no first hand report on its worthiness...

Ebizzle, like $50 something...nobody really bid on it and I got lucky. The MSRP from Carbing was much more then that, IIRC.

I don't know that they make them new anymore, but...

Moss had one. I found a link to a .pdf install sheet and an old product page but looks to be discontinued...

Wow, you got a deal. I payed $80 for mine from Cr.net These were like $150+ from Japan. They are no longer made.

Agreed.

This brace improves throttle response, allows you to shift easier/not miss shifts, and significantly reduces drivetrain movement. Expect to hear more drivetrain noise, such as vibrations, but well worth it!

Is there any interest in a front STB with a brake master cylinder brace (like the Carbing, but for LHD cars)?

Yes. What would you make it out of? Tig welded aluminum?

I'd be willing to pay upwards of $150 for a brace like that one. I want it and I want it now!!!

How no one is currently making one of these, and how I didn't know of them before is amazing. This looks like it would be the best mod yet.

I am definitely interested assuming it's a 3 point. I thought sbcocker was going to come through with these, but haven't heard.

I'd be all off a STB that has all the nice features and is below $200. The really nice ones (without MC brace) run north of $300.

As a heads up, I've done projects like this in the past on other forums (I sell an MSP FMIC kit) so I have feedback that I am not a scam-artist or trying to peddle ****.

I think my last post got deleted, but on the track I noticed a big difference with the racing beat control arm brace paired with the sway bar brace. Makes the front feel very solid and connected. I also don't have any of the shimmy I used to get when i'd drive over bad roads. I plan on doing the cannon brace soon too

butterfly brace will give you the most for your buck, but installing them is a pain.

Though its an easy location to place the brace, it isn't very far behind the engine mounts. I would love to see something around the PPF bolts at the rear of the trans. Would have to bolt to the "frame rail" through the floor pan though, or weld a bracket onto it.
