I would dread having to track in this heat. I could barely stay out long enough to plant 4 plants in my garden.

I have the 912s on my car now, they sucks balls in the rain.. I avoid going on the freeway anytime it rains decently hard as they hydroplane like a mofo. Almost as bad, if not worse than the azenis I had.
They can take light rain without any problems. but as soon as there are puddles things get interesting. They are nice tires, I would buy them again if I had to. I'm curious to try other tires so I wont be going with them next time. |

Really? I quite like mine in the rain. Only time I ever feel uncomfortable in the rain is when its puddled really deep, in which case no tire is any better than another. With a stock engine, I find it hard to even break traction when its wet, straight or through turns. Hydroplane is nearly non existent. Sure your aren't on backwards :giggle:
I have to feather the throttle on some roads when it's raining or it's slippy time. I'm having a bad day and thought I'd take it out on the tires, they are going to get the shit beat out of them when I leave work.. I really just want some new ones, their time is up it's been a a little over a year :) |
WANLI! Lol 68$ a tire...just bought them to burn up. Thinkin about toyo T1R's for my 17's but there expensive.

It could be that they are worn to maybe 40-50% of their tread now..

Love the Dirrezzas. Haven't pushed them in the rain yet, though.

Anyone using the nitto neogens?
|
Plus one for the Kumho EcstaXS. Good price and very predictable.
Surface texture is the biggest factor for wet traction with the right rubber compound (soft) being secondary (assuming no standing water). Chris |
Anyone have any thoughts on potenza 960AS pole positions? I can vouch that they get grip on snow and ice without chains. They handle well at 15 degrees and a 115 degrees. Completely predictable tires.

All season means they will fail if he starts making real power. No tire made for snow or snowy weather has any business near a miata making more than 200 whp its a recipe for disaster if you have to go somewhere in the snow and your turbo miata is the only option walk. Its safer. Also the OP wants to push his shit and a all season tire wont realy let him push it.

I've never had a problem with my kumho mx's in the rain, they're pretty cheap these days.
