Default I like my new shock tower brace!

Corksport is in my backyard. I stopped in to check them out. Bought one of the $89 Corksport shock tower braces from them. Fit fine with the ABS even though it says it won't.

I don't know about turn in, transitional response, hard cornering, corner exit or any of that. What I really like is it eliminated about 3 or 4 annoying buzzes, rattles, shakes, etc. Particularly over rough pavement. With the 9/6 teins the car shakes pretty good on bad roads. The front end feels much more solid now.

Yeah, it did tighten up the steering too.

I don't know if this part is any better or worse than anything else out there. If Corksport wasn't right here I would have tried one of the $35 NOPI ones. Just gotta say I like what it did for the car. I'll likely try to fab up 2 additional pcs to make it a triangular brace with the firewall and see what that does.

Total thread drift, but +1. I have my eye on the
Teins for the '94. Just need to finish the Hydra install on the '01 first. Rule number 1, no more than 1 project at a time

Because I'm the cheapest guy in the world, I end up buying stuff 2 or 3 times before I get it right. I don't have Tein Flex's. I have a set of Tein RA's I bought off a Miata ITA racer. Only used one weekend about 1/2 price. I'm not too sure about them. The 9/6 rates are good. The problem I have is the rear shocks. Feels like there isn't enough low speed damping. On the freeway it feels like it's floating on the springs and not being damped, primarily in the rear. It's ok with larger bumps but on smooth pavement there is a lot more movement than there should be. Again, these aren't flexes but are RA's. Not sure if it's because they are race dampers and I'm an idiot for using them on the street, a problem or just finding the right adjustments.

Even w/ my Flexes, sounds like monkies in the trunk at low bumpy speeds, like even 5mph. But mine are prolly due for a revalve, as I got them used as well. Still better than what I was running previously, some SPAX coilovers that are one step better than cut springs.
Congrats on the brace, and yes, anything you can do to stiffen these cars up is an improvement.

What, you guys have never seen a shock tower brace before? Jeez.

I doan need no steenkin peektoorz.

At least until I pull it back out and paint the ugly blue brackets black. Everything in my engine compartment is black or bare metal except these bright blue brackets. Also need to work on cleaning up the zip tied wiring and my ugly azz corroded valve cover and intake mani.

Here's Corksports product pic and link. http://corksport.com/store/large/ah7...ar_no_ABS.html

Damn, the pic ain't workin. Fine I'll take a pic with the camera phone. sheesh.

Added pics to the original post. Are you happy now?!?
