Clutch help!?!?
Just finished up putting an ACT clutch in my 1.8, went to start the car and move it out of the garage it doesnt go into gear? The clutch pedal has pressure (doesnt need bleeding) the slave cylinder is making contact with the clutch fork. The weird thing is, if the car is off I can row through all gears no problem, with the car on it will not go into gear, it just sits there and physically cant shift into a gear. Any help ideas on this particular issue? My thought is maybe that the throwout bearing isnt engaging?

You probably need to adjust the clutch master cylinder travel. Under the dash you can see the rod that goes into the clutch master is adjustable, you need to screw it outward. ie. tighten.

You may need to adjust your clutch pedal. I had to extend mine a bit when I installed my ACT clutch.

Just like people have said, your clutch isn't doing the job of disengaging. You're pressing the pedal, but, the fork is not moving.

It may be moving it, but it may not be moving enough.I would try that since it is very easy to do. If you do that and it still is not working properly than my friend you will need to take the trans back out and do it again. I don't know how it is done but I have seen a clutch disk installed improperly which would not allow it to disengage at all. You would be able to go through the gears when the engine is off, but when the engine is running since it will not dissengage you will not be able to put it in gear. Hence why people are sugesting adjusting the push rod. It is a simple fix/check.

Had the same issue after installing my act XT, had to adjust the clutch pedal quite a bit to get it to engage/disengage.

thanks for the suggestions, definitely have to adjust the hell out of the push rod to get any function, pretty rediculous. Does ACT warn/inform people of this at all?

Heard of the same problem with the disc on backwards. Hope it is only adjustment.
