Clutch help

So I normally only post here when I need some help and not sure where else to go. So anyway, I have a 94 turbo miata with approx 200 whp, and went to take off the clutch today to do rear main seal and timing belt water pump. All that fun stuff. Took a look at my f1 Stage 3 clutch and to say the least its starting to chip and pieces are breaking off. Surprise Im also broke as usual. Anyway Im looking at my options here, so right now my f1 stage 3 clutch ran about 40-50k before doing what it did. I can get a new disk for $75 and be done everything for around $100. Other options go with a company I have no experience with, competition clutch(I have also not been able to pull up any reviews or much info on their clutches via searching here), they make a stage 3 kit which is non pucked and holds 150% more than stock power. They also make a sprung stage 4, 6 puck clutch that holds 250% more than stock power. Those are $350 and $300 respectively. The other option is to go with an ACT or flyin miata clutch. Flyin miata with hold about 320 ft lbs for $400 and the ACT Im looking up now from $350-450. Havent looked into the ACT much. I have $500ish dollars, do you guys have any recommendtions or suggestions with any of these companies.

FM2 sounds like the best option thus far

gotta pay to play:)

( I know where you're coming from, trust me, but with something like a clutch, I would NOT cheap out )

thats why I dont wanna go with the f1 stage 3 again, due to the inconsistancies in reports from them. But the competition stage 4 doesnt seem bad, or stage 3 seems good to, just dont know anyone who has tried them at all

It did last 50k miles did it not? Seems pretty good to me.

are you planning on making more torque in the future? FM1 should hold just fine if not. I'm going with an FM1 with a projected 220 whp.

thats what Im thinking but from what Im reading Ive heard of people having them last a lot longer and some not last nearly that long so. Im not sure if I will even have the car for another 50k at that point its going to be at 240k miles

Want another proven F1 stage 3? I just pulled it out of my car, maybe has 5K on it. Looks great, was my daily driver.
$100 plus shipping you can have the whole thing.

I was going to post it in FS next week.

Buy the FM1 and be done with it. It is worth the $350 that it costs and will handle any power you throw at it as long as you are on a stock engine.

+1 get the FM. 240 whp is no problem for the FM stage 1.

I will vouch for that power level on an FM level 1.

been in the car for about a year and a half and still going strong.
