The people who you are being a ---- to are trying to help you, so I did them a favor and gave you a couple warnings for acting like an idiot, not holding enough respect for the forum to type like an adult, and being a general -------. Change your shitty attitude or find another forum to trash. Give credit where it's due and respect the people helping you. We didn't really think you were retarded until you acted like a Democrat.

Did you install the reverse-switch washer?

Rollin' with it.

I'll leave the hazing to the pros, but I think what you are trying to say is that your transmission makes a weird noise, and is hard to get out of reverse.

When I installed my FM clutch, I replaced the throw-out bearing with the one supplied, and it was always kind of noisy. It lasted a whole summer and didn't get any louder, but I had the transmission out this winter anyway so I replaced it while I was in there. It's possible they got a bad batch of TOBs or something. Does the noise change depending on whether the clutch is in our out when the car is in neutral?

Did you adjust the clutch pedal like it says to in the instructions that came with the clutch? FM clutches apply a lot more force to the disk than a stock clutch without requiring extra pedal force. They do this by increasing the distance that the pedal is actually moving the pressure plate. The pedal has to be adjusted to make sure the full range is working. If the clutch isn't COMPLETELY disengaging, you could get noise and trouble shifting.

Also, the reverse switch. I don't know much about it, but I guess if there is something wrong with it, the trans won't let you in/out of reverse properly.

The reverse-switch that screws into the transmission has a washer on it. If you do not install the washer it will make getting into reverse very difficult.

Well that sounds pretty simple. I have never had issues with mine, and so I have never removed it.

I am betting 95% of the people who have changed a clutch just unplug the 2 wires on top of the transmission for the reverse switch. Me being stupid and uneducated the first time I did the clutch I removed the sensors because lack of knowledge about the plugs. I then lost the washer and learned that getting into reverse becomes a bitch. After buying a new washer and installing it getting into reverse went back to being easy.

Sorry, but I presume that if someone can't take the time to make a few extra key strokes, then they aren't really going to listen either. On top of that, the OP could have provided more details other than a "wearing" noise. I'd almost doubt the OP could even describe the noise accurately since he can't even designate the differences between crucial words.

Does it happen with the car still and in neutral with the pedal out?
Does it happen while moving? In gear while moving or in neutral?
Does it happen when revving in neutral?
Does it get louder with acceleration?
Has the engagement point of the clutch pedal changed since replacing everything?
How did you bleed the system?
Does it grind if you try to go to reverse to quickly?

Im on my fone so spelling im bout worried about
But I don't think it's the reverse washer but I will change them out,
Car is a 95 by the way n the bulletins say its for 90-93 models? The car goes thru all the gears 1-5th, but when I put it in reverse I have to force the shifter out of reverse.

Infamous_GarageNA 03-22-2012 07:43 PM

Yes I used the fm throw-out bearing they supplied, noisy thing
