Clutch suddenly no longer disengages

So last night while out driving, my clutch pedal stopped disengaging the clutch. This is an FM Happy Meal Clutch.

After getting home and the car sitting for a while, I found a decently sized puddle under the slave. However, the slave didnt seem all that wet.

Today I replaced the slave just in case, yet the clutch still wouldn't disengage when the pedal is pushed. And yes I bled the line thoroughly.

I then checked the clutch pedal rod. I noticed I am now able to extend it by quite a lot more. After extending the rod, the clutch now disengages.

Although this "seems" fixed, there is no reason why I should need to extend the rod if it worked fine before.

So, could this be the result of a master cylinder failure? There is not leak near the master cylinder, but it just seems way off.

Others have recommended replacing the master when slave is replaced.

Kind of a side statement. I replaced both master and slave, and after 15K miles, had problems again. I just re-replaced with OEM. Hoping for longer lasting results.

Make sure that, with the pedal all the way out, you are able to push in the slave rod by hand. That assures that the reservoir port is properly open at the master when the pedal is out.

Isn't adjusting the clutch fun?

Sraight aftermarket hose from firewall to slave or OEM spiral? Spiral hard to bleed completely.
