Clutch or Transmission problem?
Could this be clutch hydraulics or a transmission damage/wear problem?
5 speed, 6 puck sprung clutch, upgraded pressure plate included with it supposedly good for around ~315ftlbs, stock flywheel, regular DOT 3/4 Valvoline synthetic brake fluid. 4 problems total. 1) press in clutch, change to gear, go back to neutral, won't go into a different gear unless i pump it 1 more time. 2) have to push all the way to the ground all the time. (stronger clutch) So naturally, the oem hydraulics have to work harder I imagine. I am pretty sure I have the actual pedal adjusted as best as I can from what I can tell. 3) shifts very slow 1-2 like as if the synchro are moving in slow motion. if i go fast (try to get into gear fast) i feel metal on metal, if i go slow, the revs drop too fast. 4) when i apply strong load and high throttle in 1st and try to do a hard 123 pull, the shifting randomly starts to feel extra extra notchy and sticky for like 5-10mins and it eventually goes away as long as i don't do a hard pull starting in 1st gear. #4 doesn't happen as long as i don't do a pull starting in 1st. but whenever i do, the shifter becomes notchy like there's sticky sap or magnets between the notches holding it in place between each gears. Very weird and don't know if I'm describing it right. |
Have you replaced they hydraulics in the system?

I haven't had a chance to test for problem #4 I was having yet. Ganna try to resist until after I get the alignment this payday to do so. But I will likely be reporting back in about 1&1/2 weeks about how #4 turns out. Thanks Matt |
If you still have #4 after testing, consider trying a shifter rebuild.
