Default should my rotors be this color after break in

So I installed my ss lines, new rotors and hawk hp+ pads.
Got back from the break in run and this is what my rotors look like, they obviously got very hot. I have never used high performance pads like these before so not sure if rotors and pads are supposed to look like this.
Break in procedure went like so:

7 runs from between 30-40 to 10' moderate breaking

Pulled back in the driveway to adjust rear left caliper.

Went back out for 4 more 40 mph to 10 mph runs.

Then went on the high speed passes:

Did 7 runs from 75-90 mph to 15 with moderate to heavy pressure.

By the 3rd high speed run I could feel the brakes fading a tiny bit.

Drove home and parked the car without using brakes.

Hope the pads weren't dragging at all...

Upload a picture that works.

I had a problem with HP+ that ended up being a defective set of pads. Rotors got blue and had no wear pattern on them at all.

how much do they squeal? I installed a set this week and FML, makes me want to keep a separate set of pure street pads instead of this dual-purpose-good-at-nothing ****

I've gone through 3 sets of HP+ and they all squeal like hell. Its pretty ******* unbearable, and apparently this last set wasn't bedded all the way before a track day. Ever since that track day these pads are an instant headache.

Well no squeal yet from these pads. I only have about 6 miles on them though so time will tell.

As it is they stop my car a whole heck of a lot better than the previous setup.

I would gladly use shitty pads than ever use another set of these. For the track, who cares? But for around town....sheesh! I've had people and even cops come up to me in parking lots or at stop lights and ask me if my brakes were good enough to be driving on

You guys must be doing something really wrong. I've been through 3-4 sets of them and only had light squealing when coming to a stop....sometimes. They never really bothered me. When you guys have bedded the pads, did you get them to the point of fade?

Are you sure you're not thinking of HPS pads?

What's your opinion on doing this. They must squeal like crazy right? How much loss of braking ability do you see since they probably never get up to temp? I wouldn't go back to even a semi-race pad on the street, but I am curious. My hawk blacks squealed like crazy. However, it seemed like they stopped the car with a quickness

this is exactly how much squeal I have:

also, lol @ video title. I bedded them in properly. My friend has HP+ on his 99 and doesn't have these issues. I used a solid amount of anti-squeal, the CRC stuff.
