In my case, no. As my car got lighter, it got taller; which resulted in the axle having an angle at the initial shock during launch. When I lowered the car, the axle was straight during the initial launch. The car was soon torn apart, so it is hard to say how long they would have lasted.

When the car is back together again, I will see just how reliable they are with the correct ride height and limiting the squat.

Who is DSS?

They have been around forever. They first started making short blocks and long block motors for Mustangs back in the 90's if I recall. That is when I first learned about them.

Obviously they have grown since then. I am surprised they are still around. That was about the same time Pro Charger was just making a name for themselves. Brings back good memories.

Edit: Looks like they started back in 83. They have been around longer than I thought.

Yeah DSS = driveshaft shop. I figured they started out building driveshafts and axles, not motors.

I get it now. I have never heard the Driveshaft Shop being referred to as DSS, probably because of my Ford background.

The real DSS is a Ford high performance engine building firm. When DSS was mentioned, I thought they moved up to include drivetrain components.

Different DSS. I'm not sure the real DSS could pump out much more. They always seemed to be booked, and for good reason.
