DTC-60 spark production

Is this normal behavior? Brakes worked flawlessly, with no glazing and they have been correctly seated.

It's impressive for the crowd!

A lot of brake pads will spark and yes it is normal

Yep total normal my carbotech pads do it too.

Thanks!

Yup. Last time I decided to play "immature high school tool" in a parking lot and do a brake stand in the miata, I was told my fresh DTC-60's were sparking like crazy.

I think your track pic is a bit better than brake stands in a hooters parking lot tho.

EDIT:

What track let you on course with your head so far above the roof line??? I'd say you fail the broomstick test. I get black flagged first lap out at limerock every HPDE to do a test and I am easily 1" below

All of the metallic particles flying out! Mine do that too.

I was at the Autodrome St-Félicien, in Canada. That organisation let a Mustang driver drive without a helmet and an Acura driver drive with a motocross helmet... All the event was a big joke.

A proper race seat is in the plan for proper driving position, but thanks anyways for pointing it!

It's normal. It's a hoot to bed them in on the street and shoot sparks at drivers in the other lane.
