Endlink mounts on NB control arm
With an FM bar, 949 end links, am I pushing my luck with the end link mount on the control arm? They no longer use two lips for the mount on the NBs, just one. I've heard that with some stiff bars it could break. I know Racing Beat sells a piece that I think needs to be welded on that makes it two lips again.
Should I worry? |

The single mount is thicker than the duals on NAs.
The reports of them breaking is mostly associated with 5+ years of AutoX and found on m.net. Run until you break it, then think about fixing it. It might be interesting if it breaks at 100mph, but if you should make every precaution mentioned at m.net you should stay at home in your bomb shelter. |
Well this car will rarely see autox. More like spirited daily driving. So I'm guessing for street use it should hold up just fine. And 100+mph turns are not in my future haha.

Thick steel or not, single shear sucks. You are probably fine, but if you ever have the arms off in the future I highly recommend welding on a double shear bracket.

They are off right now.

the one on my wifes broke, not sure exactly when it happened. This is an autocross car. Long road racing just reinforced the weld on her car, he added a super thick weld on it. We have not had any more issues with it since(two more years of autoxing).

Anyone willing to weld up something on my control arms? They are off the subframe. I'll pay shipping and some labor ;)
