Affh fuck this site.

I'm not writing all this again. These pads are totally unsafe to drive in wet (rain snow ice) conditions. Do not buy them unless you only drive your car on dry days.

Just a PSA.

Quick summery. If you drive in the wet, these pads do not stop. You will have to pump the pedal a little to clear it water or moisture, I'm unsure.

I have an all stock NB2 with all the plastics and shields in place. New rotors were installed when the pads went on, 10 months ago.

Today was hell driving into work in this ice storm. If you are in heavy rain and have to panic stop, do not expect to get good bite.

I have no idea if anyone else has this issue or maybe it's just me. Otherwise these pads are fantastic, in dry conditions. Other pads do not have this issue on this car. The wheels I have:

Stop okay in freezing conditions when dry?

Erat 02-12-2019 04:30 PM

Yup. Had it out in about -10 two weeks ago and it was fine. Seems to be only when it's wet out.

Even if i'm cruising on the highway in the rain at 70mph and want to stop or slow down, i get a rock hard pedal and little to no stopping power.

I find myself doing the "brake check" before exiting the freeway if i'm driving in wet conditions. Pads and rotors new (10 months ago). Calipers were cleaned out and the entire system bled. No missing plastics under the car. Dust shields are all in place and not bent. It doesn't matter if i'm on the snow tires or summer tires.

That's an incredibly frightening flaw.
