I thought the FM exhaust was unbaffled so it wouldn't get nuked.

Honestly, unless you have a massive turbo that takes years to spool spark cut isn't even needed. Also, who is dead hooking off the line under pressure in a Miata anyway?

Spark cut is nice because it holds it solid at an rpm.

Basically yeah, though yours seems to have more resolution. I wonder why?

I am sure it is super awesome if you properly tune it, but I was impressed just by the difference with the default settings.

it takes a 90* as it goes into the muffler. meaning all the explosions would pound the heck out of the stuffing. I dunno

my buddy sean used to dead hook on stock engine. ran 12 flat at 118

Then he made it into a monster that trapped 132mph in the quarter, and I don't think he could hook that thing no matter what. even on slicks. it was beyond stupid fast. there are no words

You need flatshift, heres a pull I just did out on my backyard dragstrip:

In my 3-4 shift I stay at 5lbs of boost between shifts.

0-60: 5.5 seconds
0-100: 13.5 seconds.

There is a nearby track with a 100mph club that I'm hoping to hit with a better surface and a bit more boost.

NICE! 107 is a solid trap, how much is your car putting down power wise?

Post up your LC and flatshift settings if you want. I'd love to see what exactly results in the above log, that's pretty cool (and would likely help many of us out)

Sure, as always they are a work in progress and something to base yours off of.

LC:

Timing retard after launch:

I really want to get to the strip and see if I can break 100.

Also this a 1.6 with a TD-04hl 15g at 10psi.

Default flatshift is 5deg. But I found 0 to give me a nice little crackle and keep it around 5 psi. No loud bangs or anything.

Same with the added fuel during launch control, it keeps the backfires away.

Wow, that flat shift log looks NICE! Thanks for the screen shot, i will have to try that to.
The car dinoed 337 @ 18psi, my fastet run (first run on the video) was at 15psi and the second run was at 18psi, ended up being slower with the higher boost because of wheel hop on first and second gear, it pretty much hit the rev limiter right away so i just put it in third (runing with 2 year old rivals :( )

Boost by gear.[/QUOTE]
Got tired of screwing with the ebc and the bigh low boost tables dash switch that woud not work right and ended up installing a manual boost controller with a dash adjuster ****.
So boost by gear is out until i feel like screwing with the ebc again...

I tried starting in second and failed. Either need more power or a 6 speed.

Man this thread is good. I can't wait to get back to the strip.

I managed 14.002 on my 4th or 5th run out of basically the same setup as you 18psi. My 60fts were something like 2.0. I think I trapped like 98-99mph. Ill have to go dig up my old sheet.

Since I swapped to a 5spd I was hoping to see what kinda difference it makes with a little taller gearing but I wasn't able to make it to the strip before my turbo went. Now this year I'll have quite a few things changed. I'm hoping to be in the mid 13s range.
