Ok, so I set my rear shocks on full soft per a few people's recommendations.
Tires are at 30psi all around, I might air them down, but doubt it will matter on all-seasons.

I have LC set up at 4500, and I'm going to try 2nd gear launches. 1st gear is useless either way, even when I get it to hook, going WOT just lights them up even when I have timed boost enabled (meaning wg pressure only)

I tried 4200rpm from 2nd on the street and it spun hard on the 1st try and bogged on the 2nd try, so I'm really not sure where the "balance" will be.

Bet you are going to need to be higher. You need a lot of boost and RPMs. You might only have one shot at it before the clutch starts slipping too.

If second doesn't work focus on retarding timing after launch and timing boost. That's where I got my best results.

Good luck.

Based on 60' his launch was.... not great.

Vlad, what whp are you at right now running these times? I see you trapped an 8.87 in the 1/8 mile on ticket 1. I know 1/8 mile a lot better than 1/4 mile.

Three seconds and twenty MPH on that poor little NB2 you were beating up on your first run...

It's really kind of crazy how easily the MSM can be unleashed.

FM1 and moar boost for your next outting?
110 trap speeds would be kind of epic...

You're looking at it, in the video
Best run of the night, and only run I tried that, because the stock clutch just BARELY handled it. Smelled clutch for a solid 30 minutes after though.

It FELT amazing. Smooth and somehow no wheel hop or anything terrible.

I was actually surprised to see that it wasn't THAT much better '60 than another one where I took off in 1st. If I had better tire and stronger clutch, I'd dial in a bit more boost and timing into LC timed launch and I'm sure it would move out way better.

I'm at about 225. You have to also realize I'm on 205 all season tires, on a 4.10 rear end, and fuel cut at 7 but not even ever spinning it that high, I shifted at 6400.

The car IMPOSSIBLE to launch any harder on these tires. Period.

I have a bunch of other slips, that I didn't post, to prove it. It wheel hopped SO BAD that on one run it actually popped out of gear. It was violent. I was afraid for my diff/axles.

I'm not too upset over it though, because sticky tires would have destroyed my stock clutch, and yet by some miracle it is still alive and feels fine

HAHAHA yeah it was funny, I was really excited to line up with him cause I've never raced another miata in this thing yet. I liked the outcome

FM1 probably. More boost possibly.

But right now I'm just really happy and don't want to do anything or change anything, just enjoy my [email protected] daily driver

EDIT: Also, I tapped launch control on the middle level of the parking garage at -9deg because I was curious how much it echos. The answer is quite a lot. There were cops at the bottom level that asked me if I saw anything suspicious up there. It was hilarious.

What now? You sent me a PM about FFS settings? I don't have anything from you.

Are you talking about the 30-100mph pull in the Miata? If so, i have some bad news for you: That car did not have FFS enabled. I was lifting for shifts.

I jam gears pretty good too, but it's still nowhere near as effective as FFS. I mean it holds 7psi between shifts, that makes it scoot pretty hard
