They are interchangable only 5 speeds to 5 speeds and 6 speeds to 6 speeds. The 5-speed gears are backwards compared to the 6-speed. They are also different colors which makes them completely different and unusable :giggle: (I thought the same thing BTW: before I was properly corrected)

so i just got my 6 speed in too. everything is great and all but the shifter feels sloppy. do you have the same issue? i've read everywhere that the 5 speed definitely feels more solid then the 6, but it seems really bad. this is a brand new OE shifter that i just bought for it too. any suggestions or feedback?

okay after pulling apart my shifter again i found out i was missing the plastic piece on the bottom. i pulled it from my 5 speed but i can't get it to fit. i take that the 6 speed one is a 2 piece design?

The little plastic piece is a dealer item...take your shifter to be sure it fits. I've played this game before.
