Looking for 3.636 Gears

Been looking for some 3.6 gears to go with my manual swap to a 6SPD. I have looked at a few options, such as shipping in new that is $ 850 USD or getting used ones from Australia for around $600. These are out of the budget, and looking to see if anyone has some decent condition ones laying around, they can shoot me a price.

most source the whole diff from non-US markets, for only a little more than the price you noted for the gears. Sell the diff you have to offset the cost, after all said and done it cost me about 400 out of pocket to sell the 4.1 torsen and have a 3.6 shipped to my door

Your budget is way to low. I have never seen 3.63 gears for sub $500.

New from Mazda Motorsports with the discount is ~$580 for the 3.63 ring and pinion.

Just another data point to consider in case you aren't aware. If you are looking for only the ring/pinion gears, you will have to setup them up yourself or pay for installation. A used differential WITH gears already installed fits all NA/NB except the Mazdaspeed or non-USA equivalent because of the larger axles. This Spring I had a new set of gears installed into my MSM diff. The local shop first quoted me around $650 (USD), then when I took it in 6-9 months later, the price jumped to $850. I asked about the difference but they said that's what they charge. Then there was some miscommunication as to when it'd be ready and I couldn't get back there for 8-9 days. Come to think of it, they failed to meet their quoted pick it up day twice. They charged $650 partially because they didn't need to install new bearings or press any on/off and possibly due to the miscommunication.

I purchased the gears here or off Miata.net from another Miata owner that sold his NB and moved to a newer Miata or another platform altogether. They were still $575 or more shipped and that was back in ~2020. Altogether you can expect to pay $1200+ if you cannot do your own setup of backlash and preload. You should also replace the axle seals, and if you're taking one apart, the input shaft/pinoin gear seal. Remember, gear oil STINKS, you don't want leaks. Sound like your cheapest option is having a 3.63 diff shipped to the USA but the price will only increase (shipping costs plus used diffs becoming less common).
