Lowering Springs QUESTION (NOOBIE)

Would like to ask the expert here on the forum. I bought a set of lowering springs for NA miata.

So, would like to know, which lowering spring is the front, and which is the back??
The shorter ones, or the longer ones on the front?

I have only 1 jacks, so, I can only remove one at a time, and limited of time and space.

I cannot take 2 shocks out to compare the two. Please help, would also save me alot of time.

Thanks in advance.

I worry about you using a jack to remove your suspension. There's likely going to be a lot of English required to get it out, do yourself a favour and get a pair of axle stands first. They will also help you answer this question.

longer tends to be rear. short thicker will be front.

agreed.
rear is longer.
front is shorter.

Now, share with us which springs you bought and what shocks they are on so that the hard-core suspension geeks can make fun of you and tell you why whichever ones you bought were the wrong ones. :D

I was 22 and walked into a gay bar for the first time. It was "Backstreet" in Atlanta. At the time it was also THE dance club for the "adventuresome" straights, which was the group I was with. I was freaked out. The first time I experienced gaydar. Was also the first time a guy ever grabbed my crotch. It took month to recover, but then you couldn't keep me out of the place.

Newb.

There are few, if any "kids" on this forum...and lots of very knowledgeable guys that can share a lot of tech and know-how.

Your thread is crashing faster than a Roentgenium Hindenberg because you obviously haven't read the forum rules, browse a few of the stickied threads, or bothered to search.

Try making an intro post in the MeetnGreet section so we can get to know you better. It's hard to give specific advice without knowing your technical capabilities, experience, and equipment level.

Then read all of the stickied FAQs and write-ups. They're infinitely valuable.

Then search, just a little, about the eBay spring sets. You'll be enlightened. I think I myself even have a semi-decent write-up around here showing how to use the eBay threaded collars and Summit QA1 springs to make a real setup on the cheap by machining the aluminum top hat that comes with those into a viable platform to mount the collar onto a Bilstein shock.

I'll be nice and give you one real piece of advice:

Stock Showa shocks are not made for any spring rate higher than stock, or any ride height lower than stock.
