MSM same as Sport rear pads?

Hey guys,

I found info stating that the MSM and Sport rear calipers are the same but have different part numbers. I'm looking to order some Hawk brake pads, but I get different part numbers coming up for the MSM and Sport pads.

Looking to order these which are listed for the MSM but this part number is not listed when I do a vehicle specific lookup on Hawk. Anyone know if they'll work?

Or if someone can recommend a good mate for my Hawk HT-10 front pads, I'd appreciate that.

Thanks.

IIRC they should be interchangable..according to that website, the DTC30 rear pads have same part number for MSM listing as well as 02SE (sport).

Mike, do you still have your sport brakes?

I needz some, it'd be super duper cool if you did and you brought them to MATG :)

Same pads.

I have MSM brakes on one car, sport on the other. Only difference I can tell is color of the caliper and bracket.

Thanks, just ordered them. Hopefully they'll be a decent balance.

MSM calipers are silver and Sports upgrade calipers are dark grey in Aus, assume it's the same for you guys. I replaced my stock 01 sport brake front calipers with MSM ones when I had a piston seize up as exchange.

The pads only fit without any of the shims and anti-rattle tabs. Will this cause anything that I do not want?

HT-10 Front
DTC-30 Rear

It seemed like everyone always recommended a more aggressive rear pad than the front. Now that I've come across a thread by Emilio saying to use the same compound with no ABS front and rear, I'm getting worried. What have I done?

Just came back from the track. DO NOT use this pad combo :ky:
