NC3 Mk3.75 6-SP Gearbox - Experiences with 350BHP+ ?
Hi,
I've got an NC3 (Mk3.75) 6-sp gearbox with BBR Stage2 Turbo - 300bhp. The next stage for me would be to get forged engine and take the turbo up to its max - 360bhp.
However I'm worried that the extra torque will kill the gearbox. I've read in other forums that the standard NC gearbox may not be able to handle the torque, and I've read of gears stripping etc, which has me concerned.
I've also read there are rumours that the NC2/3 gearbox is stringer than the NC1. Is that true?
So my question is - what are the thoughts/experiences of other 6-sp owners running an NC1/2/3 with 350bhp+? Will the standard gearbox handle the torque? If not, what did you do?
(Car is driven on street only, though I do use all the torque.)
