2001 engine swap for my "91
I found a 2001 donor 1.8l with 30k miles, and am thinking of swapping it into my 1991 miata. Are there any difficulties or unusual things I need to know before I buy the motor and start the swap? In addition, I have a 6 speed lined up for an install. Just need to buy the act clutch and I should be good to go.

jesus ****, please search.
I hear you can put steel dowel pins in the valve timing mechanicals so you don't have to **** with the variable valve timing.
You should probably try to trade the head for a 99 head.

Actually I did... and no stickies on top of that. Nothing showed up for engine swap and other searches. Perhaps I was not phrasing it correctly. But nevertheless, i think i will not be coming back to this site. I've been visiting here for a long time just never post.
I don't know how you keep anyone from staying at this site.
Thank you anyways for what help did supply.
Bye all

maybe if you weren't such a whiney ------, you could get that sand out of your vagina, be a man for the first time in your life, and post over here with the men. The reason people post here is simple, we're a cadre of Alpha males. You know, the man you've always wanted be. Maybe the next time your girlfriend cheats on you, and you finally catch her, you'll be motivated enough to come back here and be the man your girlfriend wanted you to be.
