This is fantastic! I run Pagid's RSL29 compound on my NC and love it on track, can even drive it to and from without much extra NVH.
Similar to the PFC-01 pads, slightly less mu than the Raybestos ST43 (but more than the 42), and less than the DTC-30 but with what long pad life from what I'm seeing. Warm up fast and don't have high rotor wear either. Great pads Stable Energies as a vender is top notch as well |
I have a set on my NA. Mu seems to drop off after about 15 minutes at pace, but I'm at 200whp and don't even have brake ducts. So far, they seem to wear better than my DTC-60's and are less squeaky driving to and from the track.

Your chart confuses me. You have the same part number for all rear brakes, as it should be, but then you have two different entries for the front brakes. Global Cup and then Brembo brakes. They have the same part number, so there should be no difference. It looks like you have no pads for the normal front calipers for ND's?

To answer your question and to clarify how Pagid's chart works, the chart will only reflect the actual pad shape. Once you click on a particular pad shape then it will show you the specifications of the pad such as dimensions, crossover applications and most importantly Compounds.Compounds are broken down by both color and number, The color denotes the style of pad (Yellow=Endurance, Red=Sprint, Blue= All Around Race Pad) and the Numbers (RSL29, RSL1, RST3) associated with the color breaks down the characteristics of the pads such as Bite,Modulation,Pad Life, Release, Fade Resistance, Disc Friendliness and Heat tolerance. As for the two different Applications for Front brakes between the Brembo Brakes and Global Cup, it just happens to be that they utilize the same exact pads. A key note of information is the standard ND w/Brembos or a Global Cup Car can use any of the compounds available to the that pad shape for which ever driving discipline they're driving, but if they're running a Global Cup car in the MX5 GC series, then they have to specifically run a certain compound as outlined by the series. Unfortunately there is no listing (currently) or availability for Front pads on the Non-Brembo ND's due to current popularity. We're always open to suggestions from the Miata community , if there is a good interest of Pagid Pads for the ND with Standard Brakes from you guys then we can always present that idea to Pagid and see if we can get them to look into production. If anyone needs more information concerning the compounds or characteristics of which pad would work best for your set up , we would suggest contacting us and speaking directly to one of our sales representatives. |
Will there ever be any pads for the '99-00 Sport Brakes or '01-04 Miatas (same calipers as Sport Brakes)?

The main question now is what’s the difference between front brakes on the NC and the NB with sport brakes? Looking at drawings of the two, it appears they may be the same? NC: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...002645&jsn=702 With the rears, it appears they’re only used on that single model of car for only 3-4 years. This just wasn't enough to justify the cost of production, tooling, etc... However if we can learn about any differences between the NB (w/ sport suspension) and the NC front pad, this could be a fit. Hope that helps! |

That's a great question. Let us pass that on to our Pagid rep and we'll come back with some info for everyone.
There are no 99-00 Sport brakes. And NB and NC pads are different. |
