pressure plate bolts

does anyone have a part number for the bolts or no where to order them online? im old school and would rather buy new bolts then reuse my old ones. just my opinion. ive had no luck trying to get a part number. i would perfer to order them onlne due to my work hours i can never make it to the parts depot.

The bolts are shown in the parts catalog as 9YA00-0804, with washers 99971-0800.

Nothing comes up on a search of Rosenthal's website for these.

While I agree that it's nice to use new hardware in applications like this, I can't say that I've ever not re-used pressure plate bolts, nor can I imagine that there's anything particularly special about the ones Mazda sells- they're not made out of sinstered unicorn horn or anything. Your local ACE hardware should stock a full selection of class 10.9 metric bolts.

I've reused the same bolts like a billion times. I bet it you ask scott or lars who have each swapped their shit like 20 times, they are probably still using the same bolts as well. At the low like 25 ftlbs you tq them to there is no way they are tq to yield.

But since Joe gave you the part numbers, just send Tommy at finishline and email. He will email you back with a link to their site with the bolts and you can order them.

I bought a used flywheel from here, the bolts are exactly the same as Mazda protege LX or Escort GT.

If you are talking about the 6(?) bolts that hold the PP to the flywheel, you can use ones from your local HW store. I used washers and medium loctite with them.

My service manual says to tq the stock bolts to 19 ft lbs. IS this what most are doing or are you bumping up to 25 ft lbs? I think these are stock bolts. They have a "10" on the head and it takes a 14mm socket.

I keep it at 20 lbs. star pattern.

Wait, did we ever actually torque those to correct spec? I will say I have never replaced mine after a million different installs.

Thanks, I did mine 20lbs star pattern.
