I had a even cheaper set of coil over sleeves installed on my stock shocks last summer, so this is actually an improvement!

These should be installed within a couple weeks if the weather starts warming up.

My buddy has them on his car by no means are they a performance coil over but you can lower the car and still ride in it without needing surgery to repair internal damage. I would say they ride pretty decent for what they cost. His have been on for a little over a year as a DD with no signs of leaking or wearing out so I would think if you just want to lower it and drive it they are perfect.

My oem left rear shock blew out after about 1000 miles of shitty michigan roads last summer.

This is a street car with maybe 2-3 drag strip trips a year.

I'm guess thats a 1000 miles with your random ebay coilover sleeves. You'd have been better off putting those sleeves on NB billies with some known rate springs than to get queerlands.

I got the racelands installed yesterday. I forgot to take pics of the install, but everything went smoothly and it's currently sitting 12.5"R/12"F.

Ride quality is obviously much better than before with the 130k, blown out/leaking oems. Michigan roads are so full of potholes and gravel atm I havent had a chance to hit any twisties yet, but I'll update when I do.

Sort of an off topic question, but are the roads in Michigan generally always so bad? I visited last month and even a car with a newer stock suspension really shook me around. I can hardly imagine having coilovers at all the way those potholes are especially around bigger cities

I know here (nowhere NEAR MI) pothole season is right about now. The potholes get super gnarly over winter with the freezing/melting/freezing of water which causes chunks of the road to come loose, thus potholes. Typically they start fixing these potholes right about now, and the roads get nicer before summer.

However, i have no idea how it is in MI, just going off what I've experienced and I would assume it is similar up north.

But yeah, cold, warm, cold weather on top of the fact that Michigan uses salt for snow melting and we had an especially brutal winter isn't helping either.

The locations available for spirited driving are becoming slimmer by the year.

I know that feel bro. I slapped Rokkors on the 92 this last weekend. The 172,000 mile, 22 year old shocks just weren't doing it for me anymore, and I picked them up for 75 bucks. I had planned on buying better stuff eventually, but the Daughter needed braces and 5 plane tickets to Japan ate up ALL of my car money for the year.

I set them at stock ride height, and they're not bad.

At least when compared to the Showas.
